PIEFFE srl sets up in St Jean de Maurienne at the heart of the Savoie county
Pieffe was founded in 1947 as a manufacturer of technical articles made of rubber for the automotive and motorbike sectors.
Thanks to the ongoing search to find new production targets Pieffe, in collaboration with the multi-national Du Pont, became the first European producer of cast polyurethane materials.
This new technology has proved highly successful and cast polyurethane has become main field of production to date.
This new subsidiary was created to supply the increasing French market and closeness between Piemonte and Rhône Alpes has played a key role in the choice of the location.
In the management conception this commercial and logistical location should soon turn into a production site.

Kyodo Yushi Europe B.V., a subsidiary of Kyodo Yushi Co. Ltd of Japan, opened a representative office in Lyon, France on 1st April 2011. Kyodo Yushi is a world leader in the supply of specialised lubricating greases for the automotive component industry and rolling bearing industry.

Btampon sets up in Pont d'Ain
Helped by the Economic Development Agency of the Ain county, the Swiss group Btampon specialized in feminine hygiene care and Drug Delivery Device Systems decided to set up in Pont d'Ain a production unit. By 2 years, the group plans to create 250 jobs.
The group chose Pont d'Ain because of strategical assets: existing production unit with the possibility of extension, nearness of the Swiss headquarter, potential of workforce and great logistical access. Btampon plans to start on this site in April 2011.
Btampon is preparing the extension in an other building. The activity will start in January 2013 for this second one in order to produce the whole range of products Be Easy.
