Technord S.A. settles in Lyon

The Minister President of the Walloon Area of Belgium, Rudy Demotte, celebrated last October 22nd the opening of its new office of Technord S.A., company specialized in electrical and software engineering of complex industrial process. This office is located in the new incubator World Trade Center Lyon Confluence. Technord S.A. will benefit from the coaching service handled jointly by World Trade Center Lyon, ADERLY and ERAI to optimize the welcoming of new foreign investors in the Lyon’s region: market studies, hosting and other official procedures, integration into business and research clusters…

With a 10 year experience on the French market and after doubling their turnover in the Northern region in 3 years, the group would like to expand their business in the second most industrial French region to carry on its growth. Lyon is well-positioned in theirs sectors of predilection (pharmacy, glass, cement, food processing) and moreover it is closed to the technical centers of their customers.

- The Technord group is a 100 % family-owned company active in the field of industrial electricity (low voltage, medium voltage, high voltage, grid), automation and industrial software, power management.
- The group employs 300 persons with a rolling contract.
- Technord has branches in Tournai, Liège, Villeneuve d’Ascq (France) and Lasi (Romania).
- 30 % of their turnover is realized thanks to export. Moreover, the company has the highest technical certifications with the market leaders (Siemens, Rockwell, Wonderware, Schneider) and in terms of quality, security (ISO, VCA Pétrochimie).
