« 2012 marks, for the DG Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission, the launch of a new policy aiming to promote the internationalization of SMEs through Clusters. For years, initiatives in this domain focused in encouraging the emergence of new Clusters and in facilitating cooperation between Clusters from different regions and sectors.

Today, the challenge consists in using Clusters to support the objectives like SMEs’ internationalization and strategic transnational cooperation between Clusters on extra-EU markets.

ERAI committed itself as the leader of the bioXclusters project with 4 European Clusters (French, Spanish, German and Italian) in order to develop a common international development strategy in the USA, Brazil and China.

To implement this project, ERAI will rely on its own locations in those 3 target countries as well as on its “Clusters Mobility in Rhône-Alpes” programme. »
 

«ERAI workshops: concrete solutions for my prospection and submission to international calls to tender

I have participated in 2 technical workshops on international public tenders including a workshop on EuropeAid, business development assistance provided by the European Commission.

Sylene occasionally submitted bids on EuropeAid tenders on the basis of information coming from our foreign partners, especially in Africa.

The explanation given by an excellent consultant on the way that these calls to tender operate has enabled us to become more autonomous and better performing in our prospection.

This workshop was really efficient: in one afternoon, I found concrete solutions for my prospection and submission to international calls to tender.»
